Recent Posts Widget for Blogger

"Recent Posts" widget or gadget is very useful in a blog or site because as your reader or "stranger" browse an old post he/she will be aware of your latest/recent posts. It should appear always except in a static page, maybe.

As I searched for the best "Recent Posts" on the net, I have found three, well a convenient way.

Here are the three:

1. Installing your own Blog Feed
        In order to do this, you just need to install a  "Feed Gadget"
        Then just use this feed URL, either of them:

           Atom 1.0: http://blogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default
           RSS 2.0: http://blogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss

Although it's limited only in five titles, don't worry just use the second one instead.

2. Installing BuzzBoost
         You need to go to feedburner.google.com, just log-in your google account then follow this video tutorial:

3. Copy & Paste
        Just add an "HTML/JavaScript" gadget then paste the code below.

<right><style>
img.recent_thumb {padding-right:5px;padding-left:padding-bottom:0px;0px;width:100px;height:100px;border:0;float:left;margin:0 0 5px 0px;}
.recent_posts_with_thumbs {float: left;width: 100%;min-height: 50px;margin: 0px 0px 5px 0px;padding: 0;font-size:13px;font-color:black;}
ul.recent_posts_with_thumbs li {padding-bottom:5px;padding-top:5px;padding-left:0px;padding-right:20px;min-height:50px;list-style:normal;}
.recent_posts_with_thumbs a {text-decoration:none;}
.recent_posts_with_thumbs normal {font-size:13px;}
</style>

<script style="text/javascript" src="http://bloggerplugins.org/scripts/recentpostswiththumbs.js"></script>
<script style="text/javascript">
var numposts = 10;
var showpostthumbnails = true;
var displaymore = false;
var displayseparator = true;
var showcommentnum = false;
var showpostdate = false;
var showpostsummary = true;
var numchars = 150;

</script>
<script src="/feeds/posts/default?orderby=published&alt=json-in-script&callback=showrecentpostswiththumbs"></script></right>
You can edit the BLUE and GREEN part, as you prefer.
